Cengage and Quizlet Partner to Help YOU Pass College

By Lorena Roberts on August 27, 2018

If you’re a college student and you haven’t heard of Cengage Unlimited and Quizlet, well, I just changed your life. And with the new partnership between these two companies, you’re about to be completely set up for success. According to a recent press release, subscribers to Cengage Unlimited will now receive six months of free access to Quizlet Plus, the premium version of Quizlet that allows you to do things like voice record, upload photos, and study without those annoying ads.

Quizlet was invented by a high school student, Andrew Sutherland, in 2005. Since then, it has become the largest user-generated consumer learning platform in the U.S., with more than 30 million active users. If you haven’t used Quizlet before, you should definitely look into it! Suddenly, your toughest class may not be so tough anymore. Other students will upload their flashcards to Quizlet, which are then published on the open web. You’ll be able to access what other people have used to study! So your late-night sessions have just been cut in half!

“Affordable access to quality learning is the foundation of Cengage Unlimited,” said Judah Karkowsky, Senior Vice President of Corporate & Business Development, Cengage. “This groundbreaking subscription model has been incredibly well-received by all parts of the higher education ecosystem. We are carefully selecting best-in-class partners for Cengage Unlimited based on student preferences and need. Quizlet has clearly demonstrated the ability to drive immense value as a study aid to over 30 million active users a month.”

“Bringing Cengage’s world-class digital course material to the Quizlet platform is a great opportunity for Quizlet users, and we are thrilled to be a part of Cengage’s innovation in the space,” said Thompson Paine, Vice President of Business Development at Quizlet. “As we share a mutual goal of improving student outcomes, our hope is that by partnering with Cengage we can help students everywhere be successful this school year.”

Cengage Unlimited, if you haven’t heard, is the new way to save money when it comes to buying textbooks for your classes. A subscription to this service is $119.99 per semester, or $179.99 for the entire year. With this subscription, you’ll have access to more than 22,000 digital products across 70 disciplines and 675 courses. The price of a subscription to Cengage Unlimited is about half of what it usually costs to buy just a single textbook. Also, students enjoy being able to access their textbooks online — no more carrying books from class to your apartment.

This new partnership is truly setting college students up for success. If you haven’t gotten your subscription to Cengage Unlimited, it’s about time you did, because now you’re getting even more of a bang for your buck.
